Restoring your entire smile

A dental crown is a complete outer shell that fits over your natural tooth like a cap. Often referred to as “caps,” dental crowns are fabricated to fit precisely over teeth that have been damaged and need extra structural support and protection.

A dental bridge fills the space created by a missing tooth. The sides of a bridge use the two surrounding teeth for support, hence the name. A bridge replaces the missing tooth, both functionally and cosmetically. Bridgework is both an art and an exact science.

A missing tooth should be replaced as soon as possible for several reasons. Without treatment, the teeth surrounding the gap shift inward, creating a chain reaction of problems. When one tooth is missing, the others start to “fall” like dominoes. Don’t let it happen to you or your loved ones.

There are several different types of dentures, but all are designed to replace lost teeth and restore your smile to completeness. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth. Fortunately, dentures allow you to eat and talk as if you had your own teeth. Once you are accustomed to wearing the dentures, your normal function and appearance will be restored. Often, we use specialized implants to further stabilize full or partial dentures and eliminate the need to remove them before sleep.

A dental implant is a permanent replacement for one or more missing teeth. The implant consists of a "root" made of titanium that is placed right into the jawbone. Attached to this artificial root is a tooth restoration – a  crown – that looks and feels like a natural tooth. In fact, nothing feels more like your natural teeth than dental implants. And many patients prefer them to removable dentures. In some cases, we also use implants to anchor a full denture. Be sure to ask us about the best dental implant procedure for you.
